1. How do I contact Onyum™?
There are 3 ways to contact us:

   1) Login and Message your Project Manager.
   2) Send a Message. Returning clients, include your Project ID.
   3) Buy a Chat for $5. Chat with a Project Manager for 20 minutes.
2. What about project updates?
Login to our project tool, Message your Project Manager and your update will be posted in one business day.
3. What are your hours of operation?
We are open, and your Project Manager is available, Monday through Friday 10AM to 4PM CDT. We are closed holidays, Saturdays and Sundays. That said, we are staffed, production runs 24/7 and we assist clients and tire-kickers as best we can when we're closed. Properly funded accounts are always served first.
4. Do you keep backups of my files and deliverables?
No. We are not responsible for keeping archives of any of your files or your deliverables. You should in no way depend on us to maintain copies of any of your files. Keep a rolling inventory of everything on your own PC. Backup everything, always.
5. How soon is my project delivered?
All projects are delivered as fast as possible. If you want a firm delivery date, consider purchasing a Quote. Most clients simply open a New Account for $375 and we proceed with their project. Save our time. Save your money.
6. How much will my project cost?

7. How do I track expended hours for my project?
Login to your project and request a Time Report from your assigned Project Manager. Login above and review a sample Time Report in the Demo Account.
8. Do you provide staging servers or use my webhost?
Either is fine with us. We have staging servers available for our clients' projects. However, we prefer to develop on your webhost to assure compatibility, avoid delays and lower project costs. When we develop on your webhost, we will not disrupt your site's normal operation. All will be produced, tested and reviewed in hidden directories not available to your regular site visitors.
9. What type of access do you need to my webhost? Do you work with Mac files?
If we do any work at your webhost, you will need to supply us with site-wide, admin-level access to all available areas. All supplied usernames and passwords must be random alpha-numeric and any email addresses must be random alpha-numeric and from your domain. We will not work with you if you will not provide us with this type of access. Also, don't order our services if you won't give us access to your webhost and want us to coach you on how to install our deliverables. We don't work like that; it's no fun and always a waste of our time. Save our time. Save your money.

We do not work with Mac files.
10. I need to share lots of project files, large files. What do we do?
Message your Project Manager. We have a solution. No worries.
11. Does Onyum™ provide web site marketing services: SEM, links, Adwords, etc?
No. We do not provide marketing consultation nor marketing services.
12. Does Onyum™ provide Search Engine Optimization?
Yes. Just tell your assigned Production Manager you want SEO.
13. Does Onyum™ provide shopping cart solutions?
Yes. We provide shopping cart solutions in any size, style, configuration, customization or API. We have worked with them all. We develop custom carts and customize existing carts too.
14. Does Onyum™ provide merchant accounts?
No. But, we do provide solutions for all merchant account APIs and integration.
15. Does Onyum™ provide webhosting?
No. But, ask your Production Manager for a few recommendations.
16. Do you have references?
Yes. We have a few dozen testimonials.
17. What is the allowable for Guesstimates and Estimates?
There is an allowable with our two types of quotes, Guesstimates and Estimates. The allowable is a buffer that provides for a more tolerant approach to creating specifications. Guesstimates have a 50% allowable and cost $50. Estimates have a 25% allowable and cost $150. Below are examples of each.

Guesstimate (50% allowable): client purchases a Guesstimate for $50 and provides specifications. We provide a delivery-date of 2 weeks and 40hrs at $15hr, a project price of $600. Client pays the $600 project price and we proceed with the project. So long as the specifications are delivered within 3 weeks (2weeks+50%) and/or within 60hrs (40hrs+50%) or $900, we have not exceeded the 50% Guesstimate allowable. If we exceed the time and/or price by more than the 50% Guesstimate allowable, we refund 25% of the quoted $600 project price, or $150. Guesstimates must be initiated prior to your project entering Design/Production.

Estimate (25% allowable): client purchases an Estimate for $150 and provides specifications. We provide a delivery-date of 4 weeks and 120hrs at $15hr, a project price of $1800. Client pays the $1800 project price and we proceed with your project. So long as the specifications are delivered within 5 weeks (4weeks+25%) and/or within 150hrs (120hrs+25%) or $2,250, we have not exceeded the 25% Estimate allowable. If we exceed the time and/or price by more than the 25% Estimate allowable, we refund 50% of the quoted $1800 project price, or $900. Estimates must be initiated prior to your project entering Design/Production.
18. For how long is a Quote valid?
Quotes must be ordered before you project enters Design/Production. All quotes, Estimates and Guesstimates, are valid for 150hrs. You must fund your project with the full project price provided with your Estimate or Guesstimate within 150hrs of its issue; if not, your quote is void.
19. How much do I pay for my project?
You know what you can afford/want to pay; it could be $300 or $30,000. We work with a diverse range of clients. Share your target budget with assigned Project Manager. We'll do all we can to meet your budget. Most clients simply open a New Account for $375 and we proceed with their project. Save our time. Save your money.
20. How is the $15hr charged?
Time is expended in 6min/.1hr, increments, $1.50 each 6min/.1hr. Everything we do for you and your project is $15hr. Request a Time Report anytime. Message your Project Manager and your Time Report will be posted to your project.
21. What are payment terms?
Payments are in-advance. We do not accept any type of escrow payments. We accept credit and debit payments. Payment is acceptance of our terms. Service does not begin until your payment is cleared to our account.
22. What is an Account Recharge?
When your purchased hours are expended we request a Recharge. If your account is not Recharged, your project is archived and your spot in the Production Queue forfeited. We do not provide communication, service or support if your account is not properly charged.
23. My project is archived. How do I get it re-activated?
Send us a Message, include your Project ID, your project will be reactivated and your assigned Project Manager will Message you. If your purchased hours are expended, if there's an outstanding recharge, recharge your account. Then, Message us with your Project ID and your project will be reactived. Properly funded projects are always given higher priority.
24. How do I access the demo account for the project tool?
There's a login panel on every page at our site. Credentials for the demo account are below.

25. Do you speak English? Is Onyum a US business? Are you Americans?
Onyum is a wholly-owned subsidiary of a privately held US corporation and is 100% American-owned. Everyone you'll work with is from Australia, New Zealand or the US. English is our native language. We're not an ESL business. You won't be working with half-fluent, offshore workers who call you 'Madam' or 'Sir'. We are professionals, working from locations all over the world, united by high-speed Internet. If any of this doesn't work for you, don't work with us.
26. How do we get started?
Three steps...

1) Open an Account for $375; 25hrs of service at $15hr.

2) You'll be assigned a dedicated Project Manager. During regular business hours, you will have access to our project tool and your assigned Project Manager in an hour or so.

3) Your Project Manager is your primary point of contact. Your Project Manager assists with gathering any required access, assets and direction. When your Project Manager has everything we need to deliver your project, it is sent to Production. If you are prepared, this should not take more than 30 minutes. Once your project is in Production, you are provided with ongoing reviews until your project is delivered.
27. Will I have, do you allow, contact with my project's designers and programmers?
No. Your assigned Project Manager is your sole, dedicated point of contact.
28. What kind of quality can I expect?
Quality is a reflection of hours invested. Our capabilities are sufficient for any project, for anyone: students to brand managers at some of the largest companies in the world.
29. Do you offer rush or emergency services?
No. All our projects are delivered as fast as possible — that's fast enough for 99% of our clients. If you require emergency service, don't work with us.
30. My project will take XX hours. How do we proceed?
We do not accept client estimates under any conditions. If this is how you want to work with us, do not hire us without first purchasing a Quote.

33. How do I get a refund of my remaining account balance?
Message your assigned Project Manager and request a refund of your remaining account balance. Production is stopped the minute your assigned Project Manager confirms your request and your account balance refund request is processed in 15 business days.
34. Will I be pampered as your client?
We provide consultation, guidance, good service and good deliverables. But, we do not pamper our clients and have no tolerance for rude, unprofessional communciation. If you want to be pampered, if you must be rude and unprofessional with the people you work with, don't work with us.
35. What about discounts, profit-sharing or bartering?
Nope, none of the above. Nothing in the FAQ or our terms is negotiable.
36. Will my deliverables be recycled, resold or shared? What about an NDA? What about IP?
We do not recycle, resell or share anything we produce for our clients. You pay for it and it is yours.

If you need an NDA/IPA/confidentiality agreement to work with us, that's fine: open a New Account, post your document(s) to Files in your project and your assigned Project Manager will send your document(s) to our attorney for review. If approved and accepted, your agreements will be executed and posted to Files inside your project. If declined, your account balance is refunded.
37. Onyum bid XX hours. My project will be delivered in how many hours?
We market our services at various freelancer channels; at these sites Project Directors may provide you with an opportunity to fund an account for more or less than our standard 25hrs. Whatever is offered by your Project Director, unless specifically discussed and agreed otherwise, is a purchase of a block of hours and has no bearing on anticipated project budget nor how long it will take us to deliver your project. If you want a fixed-priced, if you want an estimate, order a Quote.
38. When do I post feedback for the project I awarded Onyum?
Clients sourced through any freelancer channel (e.g. iFreeelance, GetAFreelancer, oDesk, etc.) will be requested and expected to post feedback when we have delivered hours equal to their initial purchase. A copy of that feedback will then need to be provided to your assigned Project Manager. If you want to leave feedback at some other point in your project, that will need to be discussed and agreed with your Project Director or assigned Project Manager, before your project begins.
39. Can I get service when you're closed?
Perhaps, send a Message and staff will assis you as soon as they can. At a minimum, expect a reply next business day. Properly funded accounts are always given higher priority.
40. What forms of payment does Onyum accept?
We accept credit and debit payments. Service begins when your payment has cleared to our account.
41. How do I send a package, call or visit Onyum's offices?
We don't do mail. We don't do phone calls. We don't have offices. We are professionals working from locations all over the world. If you want to work with a solution provider who uses snail-mail, provides phone support or has offices, don't work with us.
42. Why Onyum™ and what's Onyuk.com?
Onyum(s) - was a trademarked, preservative-loaded, corn-batter and onion concoction, manufactured and marketed by General Mills in the early 70's. Tasty, for an indefinite shelf-life snack food. The domain was available and trademark abandoned. We liked the name. We bought the domain. We are Onyum™.

Onyuk.com - we market through many channels. Some channels don't allow outside contact. We needed a way to share our site without providing contact information or gathering visitors' personal data – that is what Onyuk.com offers. Onyuk.com has nearly everything you will find at our actual site; with all contact, payments and information collection tools disabled or removed.
43. Onyum's offer was retracted, award declined, no replies... why's that?
The ratio of real buyers with real projects to fake buyers with fake projects is mind-boggling. To minimize time wasted on fake buyers with fake projects, we profile all inqiries against a 21 point profiling system. Our profiling system has an accuracy of +/- 1%. Inquiries that miss 3+ points are automatically flagged. You've been flagged if we're not communicating, an offer has been retracted or if your IP is blocked. To remove the flag and proceed you will need to Message direct at our site, order a Chat, or fund an account.
44. What about Smartphone (Android, Blackberry, iPad, iPhone, etc.) projects?
We require a minimum $1500 (100hrs at $15hr) initial account funding for all Smartphone projects.
45. How do I close my account and get a refund?
Message your Project Manager, request an Account Balance Refund, your request will be filed with Accounting and issued in 15 business days, $150 each week. We do not provide refunds for expended hours or services already provided. If this doesn't work for you, don't work with us.
46. What's the deal with the $10hr, $15hr and $20hr rates?
Supply and demand determines our hourly rate. Our current hourly rate is clearly displayed. Hours purchased at the current, displayed rate are credited to your account and their rate does not change.
